Article number

Is there any difference between the expressions 'article number', 'product number', and 'product code' or may they all be used interchangeably (though with consistency)?

Are there geographical differences in usage?

  • I think this is likely to be a cultural distinction within and across companies and sectors. Some may use labels interchangeably for the same datum while others may use different labels to refer to different data.
