Dependency

Hi all,

I just translated the meaning of the Dependency word after it's in English as a Beginning English Learner:

Dependency
[countable]
a country, an area, etc. that is controlled by another country

It's dependencies
(The countries, areas, etc. that are controlled by it)

"The countries, areas, etc. that are controlled by it", is it correct?

Answers

  • The spelling it's is used only for the short form of it is.

    The spelling you want is

    Its dependencies

  • @dcrosbie551 Hi, it's my mistake that it's should be its. As I could not edit the error, my question will not be changed, but with its not it's.

    ...
    Its dependencies
(The countries, areas, etc. that are controlled by it)

"The countries, areas, etc. that are controlled by it", is it correct?
