We are happy to announce that the API v2 is now available and we are so excited to share the changes we’ve made with you! We’ve made some key changes including separating translations, sentences and thesaurus into their own endpoints, and introduced a more standard URL structure for query parameters. Other great features have been added like our strict match option, allowing users to explicitly specify whether the response should or should not return near-homographs. We also introduce new languages (Greek, isiXhosa, Quechua, Tajik, Tatar, Telugu, Tok Pisin and Turkmen) and you can see our full list of supported languages here. API v2 also introduces new plan options, which you can take a look at here.

If you are using API v1 and want to enjoy these new features, no worries! V2 shares the same domain as v1 to make your migration process easy and we have created a Migration Guide to give you further information about API v2 key changes and the steps you will need to take. In case you have further questions you can have a look in the FAQ. For all accounts using v1 please note that API v1 will shut down on Sunday 30 June 2019.
